Given a Second Chance

Chance

Chance’s mom reached out to us in her time of need. Denise had moved to Florida feeling like she was being given a second chance and Chance was named with that in mind. He is her everything.

Chance stopped eating, playing with his toys and just laying around. Denise knew something was wrong and brought him to her vet. But being on disability and working part time, she couldn’t afford what she soon learned about his health. Chance needed some major dental surgery. When she reached out to Lost Pet Services, we were eager to give him a second chance at a pain-free life.

Chance had to have eight teeth extracted at Bayshore Animal Hospital in Bradenton.
All his teeth are now sparkly white and his infection is being treated. He no longer needs to #grinandbearit thanks to our Medical Assistance Program made possible by your generous donations.

Denise recently reached to tell us that Chance has started playing with his toys again. She was in tears when she called right after the surgery to thank us.

Dental pain and dental procedures are something that Lost Pet Services can help with. We have provided dental care to many dogs, especially seniors. You’d be surprised what a difference in makes in their overall well-being.

Funding for this was made possible through our Medical Assistance Program for emergency, trauma and surgical cases from the grant from the Community Foundation of Sarasota County through their Animal Welfare Grant Program with funding provide by the Martha Leiter and Nancy Streetman Fund I and Robert Parker Fund.
